Iran’s SNSC to create fresh defense council
The newly formed council is tasked with centrally reviewing the country’s defense strategies and enhancing the capabilities of Iran’s armed forces.
Its membership includes the leaders of Iran’s three government branches—the executive, judiciary, and legislative—as well as commanders from the armed forces and representatives from select ministries.
Earlier this week, reports indicated that structural reforms and groundwork had been laid, increasing the likelihood of significant changes within Iran’s top security institutions.
