Iran Death Toll Hits 639 Amid Ongoing Israeli Airstrikes
Since the initial strikes commenced in the early hours of June 13, the total casualties have reached 1,968, with 639 people killed and 1,329 injured.
According to HRANA’s latest update, at least 10 individuals lost their lives during the assaults on Wednesday alone.
The Israeli military operations have targeted infrastructure and various facilities across 16 provinces, including Tehran, which sustained the most severe damage. Other affected regions include Zanjan, Fars, Isfahan, Hamedan, Alborz, East Azerbaijan, Semnan, Kermanshah, Mazandaran, Khuzestan, Ilam, Qom, Bushehr, Gilan, and Qazvin.
Although HRANA’s data encompasses the entire country, Iranian officials have not yet clarified how many of the dead were civilians versus military personnel.
The conflict escalated on Friday when Israel launched airstrikes on several locations in Iran, including military and nuclear sites. Tehran responded with retaliatory attacks, igniting the current wave of hostilities.
